Great question and classic answer Patric. Mark always hits the nail smack on the head!

What he says is absolutely true, this is my 5th recession since I first started in business but I only went down in the first one. I saw a lot of people profit as a result of that first one and I learned from it. I have been immune from recessions or any kind of business downturn ever since.

The main thing is to take control of your own life and finances and not rely on one single source of income. The second thing is to always have something valuable to sell, whether a skill or a product or a service. If it's something people really want, they will buy it regardless of the economy. Oh! and don't forget to put something away in your good times, Just in case. :-)

Great word of wisdom, can't agree more but Mark reminded me what I always forgot to see. Great question you ask Patrick!
