You know– sometimes my Sunday Emails can be harsh. Cuts through like a ninja’s blade. But come on, they’re my rants. If I want to keep everyone happy and write about the colorful rainbow, birds chirping, flowers blooming, etc then I should just opens up a nursery home and take care of children.
So if you can relate to what I wrote when reading it– good because I know it had just served the purpose of helping people.
Re: The 3 “Looping” Excuses For Getting Started (And Also Making Money Online)
There are 3 things that people whined about when it comes to getting started on the internet (and to make money online). And if you happen to be one of them, trust me, you will have your own excuse why I am wrong in today’s post. But look – does it really matter if I’m right or wrong? I think what matters more is you make money or not…
Stuck at The First Base – Can’t Determine a Niche Market
The funniest thing is this, the person who is stuck in determining their niche is still continuing to buy the latest widget, like a new course on how to get affiliates or some fancy video player. HELLO? I think what they need to buy is either a course about niche marketing, some super cool niche research software or a list of ready-researched niches.
Anyway, that’s just my rant. Going back to this problem, I really don’t understand what is the big fuss about selecting a niche market AT ALL. I mean, if you ask me to choose for a niche market, it’ll take me less than 5 minutes to find one*. So I think the problem is not about FINDING the niche market but committing to it.
* In Module #1 of The Chan Do Internet Success System, there’s a method I’ve taught to find a niche market (based on what people are searching for) in just a few minutes. You can listen to that if you are still stuck to come up with a good niche.
You see, it’s crazy not to get started and miss out all of the other cool stuff like how to get traffic, building a mailing, making money online and so on because you need to make sure you have the ‘right’ niche. If you want a profitable niche market, might as well get into the ‘travel’ or ‘lose weight’ market but you know you’ll not stay long there if you’re new to this game… so why mess up your head with this whole ‘profitable niche’ market selection?
Just choose one and go with it. For the sake of getting started, just pick any niche that you like! If it did not work out, at least you’ve started. Besides, how are you going to learn if you’re not ready to fail?
I Don’t Have A List
Dude – if you know you need a list to make money online, why you keep saying that rather than spend the time to start building one?
It’s like a dude saying that he can’t buy food for his family because he is poor. Duh. You’ll continue to be poor and hungry if you don’t do anything about it other than telling the world how poor you are. You might know that my main niche is the self improvement niche and you wouldn’t believe the numbers of emails I receive a day from people who tell me how frustrated their life is, how broke they are and so on. I don’t even bother to read them and it’s not because I’m such a jerk. Delete. Why? Why are you telling me about your problems instead of telling me what you’re going to do to solve your problem so that I may help if I can?
Saying I don’t have a list and hope someone would give you a list is like applying Law of Attraction asking for money from the Universe but by just sitting down, “meditation” and do nothing.
To make you feel better, I want you to know that I wasn’t born with a list too (not a surprise, right?). It took me a few months to build it. And you know what, I started building it IMMEDIATELY when it hit on me that I need a list. Hint: You already discover the ‘secret’ and many still don’t. Aren’t you supposed to make full use of this information THAT YOU NEED A LIST?
Look – I’m not trying to make your life difficult or being harsh on you. I just don’t understand why people can keep on saying, “I don’t have a list” and stopped them from becoming successful making money online.
And oh, if I hear someone’s going to say, “But I don’t know how to build a list”… go learn it somewhere. No money? I trust you can save up $30 to afford a good course. If you ask me, I’ll recommend Jimmy D. Brown’s. Grab his course, no upsell or whatsoever after purchase.

I Can’t Get JV Partners Syndrome
Poor boy/girl. Well, guess what… it’s time to WAKE UP. First, there’s a reason why you’re not getting JV partners (if you’re not getting). So it’s really a marketing fault — this couldn’t even be classified as an ‘acceptable’ excuse for not making money online.
Secondly, there’s 101 ways to get traffic. Not being able to rub shoulders with the big boys do not mean the end of the world, it’s just one small handicap.
Third, not all niches play this game. As a matter of fact, most of them don’t. This is where the 80% (or 95%) of people in our industry get it wrong – they’re just thinking how to make money online by helping others to make money online. Let’s say you’re in the “Persian cat” niche and you got an ebook to sell that teaches Persian cat owners how to take good care of their pet. Do you think there’s a marketing mastermind group going on in Vegas or whatever place to plan how to promote each other products and conquer the whole Persian cat niche? Perhaps, but I doubt it.
And finally, you’re not restricted to just one method of making money online. If you do affiliate marketing, making money from Adsense, selling leads, eBay and so on, this whole ‘excuse’ does not even apply to you. What I’m trying to say is this… if you want to stick with this excuse and argue with me, I’m going to let you win but I’ll ask you this, “So if it’s so hard, why not just try to make money online by using other models available?”
If what my rant above did describe you, then there are 2 things you can from here – you can come up with your own facts that I’m being a jerk for not being understanding or you can ponder a while to seek some truth in these 3 failing-excuses so that you can bust them, once and for all. Your choice.

American public non-education teaches that everyone deserves a trophy, all winners are cheats and that high (the higher the better) self-esteem (separate from any measure of performance) is the highest value. This kind of equality B S guarantees equal failure for all. NO where is there a right not to be offended or to be shielded against a bruised ego. Those who teach that are “the enemy within”.
All the while, Nike (Just Do It!) / Chan-do people are eating our lunch.

Ouch! You are SO right. That ‘action’ part of the equation. Maybe it’s hard to accept this missing element because it puts the responsiblity directly on our own shoulders.
I’ll bet there are many people out there saying, ‘the secret doesn’t work for meeeee”. And when you ask what step they have taken, just any little step they’ve made, toward their dream ……. ‘Huh?’

For myself, it was a MAJOR breakthrough to take the first steps (having no idea if they were the ‘right’ steps) It seemed SUDDENLY all my questions were answered (all my ‘but I don’t knows’). Opportunities were handed to me on a platter. Right and left just every dang thing worked to my advantage!
So I kept taking more and more steps. I feel comfortable I’m headed to where I want to be. I even feel like I’m slowing the universe down from absolutely catapulting me farther than I can now imagine.
The rant was good for me. I’m going to become more agressive in getting my presense known online. You’ve helped me narrow down my next steps!

Rants and moans……..hmmmmmm. Action Action and more ACTION is exactly what is required. A lot of people do get STUCK. I was always taught that if you find a problem…………find a way over it, under it , around it or just plain work it out. We should always teach that positivity works, in particular with a well thought out plan.

I have to agree with the two post above and add that people just need to make a commitment to getting started. Then to follow thru with it. If they don’t they will never make any money online or anywhere else for that matter.

Well describe for those who are looking for 101 excuses for not taking action. I have to admit that was the old me. I have taken action, although the road is not smooth as I thought… I knew I would get to the destination that I want to be.
Another problem which I observe from the new Internet Marketer… they tends to give up too fast. Jumping from one method to another method in a couple of weeks. I have to advise the newcomer to become a stamp.. “Stick to the envelope until you reach your destination”.
I believe most method doesn’t make someone rich overnight.. We have to put in our effort in whatever we have chosen. Give enough of time for the business to grow. If it doesn’t work, only then we move to another business.

The main thing is to take action first and then take it from there.
