I like to share with you 3 useful free resources – one is a report from Facebook, another one is a SEO tool and the last one is video creation tool.

Ranking In Google With Duplicate Content

But today’s post is to share with you the truth about duplicated content.

A lot of people are still confuse with this famous question…

“Will my ranking on Google.com drops if I have duplicate content on my website?”

It really depends on which angle you’re looking at.

Based on my own research and tested result, here’s what I can tell you…

1. Duplicate content will affect your ranking IF the duplicate content is on your own website. For instance, if you publish the same article on your website twice, that’s “duplicate content”. Bad move.

*HOWEVER*, if it’s not done on purpose but because it’s part of how your website publishing technology works, it’s deem to be alright. This of course, also depends on what website publishing technology you’re using. As far as I know, WordPress is cool.

To prove my argument (I don’t tell theories, I tell facts), go ahead and search for “true personal freedom” in Google. You’ll see that a ‘tag’ page of mine is ranked on the first page there. If you are confuse with what is a ‘tag’ page, it’s basically duplicate content because it’s generated from the original blog post.

2. Having a duplicate content article on your website that is also used on many other websites does not kills your ranking. If this is true, then all of the major news websites will not be in Google anymore.

Again, to prove my argument, just search for “oil news” and you’ll see a Yahoo News page listed on page #1. And if you run a search for the title of this news release in Google, “Oil below $86 amid weak indicators, earnings”, you’ll get thousands of results.

Just proved to you that duplicate content is still cool.

*BUT*… using duplicate content would means that you will have more competition. In a non-marketing jargon, it’s harder for you to get ranked. Comprende?

Google will most likely to choose JUST ONE of all of the duplicate content to be ranked. Here’s the login to that – Google’s job is to serve the users, right?

If they don’t just choose one, then the user’s going to see plenty of same articles in the search, right?

Which also means, user’s not very happy.

User’s not happy, Google’s not happy. YOU are not happy.

I hope this article has shed some light to you.

In summary, duplicate content on your own website is a no-no but duplicate content with other websites is okay with the only disadvantage of tougher competition.

The remedy? Use non-duplicate content if you can.

Last weekend, I think I’ve shared some valuable tips on how to make money online in our seminar, Multiple Streams of Income In A Flash. These include the technique on how to make $100K a year by working just a day a month, how to make money with flippa.com and the secret on how to build a mailing list with newsletter advertising from www.direzines.com.

We have over 200 attendees – ranging from newbies to experienced marketers who are already making money online. Some of the questions I’ve gotten were:

How do I get rank in Google on page #1?

How do I get a lot of paid members for my monthly membership?

How do I get Joint Venture Partners to promote my product now?

How do I get instant traffic?

Here are the answers:

“How do I get rank in Google on page #1?”

You spend a lot of time on keyword research, build a search-engine friendly website with keyword optimized content and get backlinks like crazy every day. Continue to do that diligently and the ‘magic’ can happen.

“How do I get a lot of paid members to my monthly membership?”

Start building your mailing list first, right now. Then convert your mailing list to paid members by over-delivering your content.

“How do I get Joint Venture Partners to promote my product now?”

Build a relationship first, only then send your JV proposal and make sure that your proposal is very attractive.

“How do I get instant traffic?”

Well, buy traffic with Google Adwords or paid advertising from www.direzines.com lists.

Which of course, these aren’t the answers that people want to hear (although those are the RIGHT solutions) – simply because, the truth is, it cost MONEY OR TIME to make internet marketing works.

What people did not realize is… these solutions are ALREADY saving you money and time.

If there’s another ‘secret’ to internet marketing secret, then it’s this:

Small success is better than no success.

You see, many people are still living in their dreams that ONE DAY, one fine day; they are going to make a million from the internet magically. Could be that they wrote a super amazing ebook that sells for $20 and sold 50,000 copies or founded another Twitter or something. Could happen, who knows. The problem is, they want this BIG success but haven’t even mastered the basic stuff yet. This is like saying, I want to be Michael Jordan (during his basketball peak days) but I still don’t know how to play basketball yet. For those who know Michael Jordan’s bio, they’ll know that Michael started with ‘small’ success before he became extremely good. So does Bruce Lee. Or Robert Kiyosaki with his Rich Dad, Poor Dad best-seller hit. Heck, so does EVERYONE, including internet marketers.

Because there are so many stories of how ordinary people strike fortunes online, people started to think that the Internet is an ATM machine. On top of that, all of those hype courses just add more fuel to this dream.

As weird as it sounds, at the same time, the Internet IS a form of an ATM machine. Like, if you build a list and add value to it all of the time, well, it’s a form of ATM machine, isn’t it?

But where does the money from the ATM machine comes from? It’s the money you’ve put in (or the interest you’ve gotten from your money). The point is, you got to work to put the money in it.

Start by putting little. You’ll wake up one day, astonish of what you’ve accomplished after a period of time.

Alright, I’m going to go watch the Social Network now, wanted to know how much effort was put in to build Facebook.

If you go to youtube.com, you’ll find many of my videos ranked there among the best-selling authors and famous trainers… those videos build me a list.

I have a top notch self improvement course that gets consistent sales, it’s at SuccessTrace.com. That builds me a list.Then I also have my old site,

ycdisuccessoutcome.com.

My twitter account at twitter.com/successtrace sends me traffic to build a list.

I do JV’s regularly and I only do with partners with big lists. From each JV promotion, my list gets bigger.

In the past, I’ve spend thousands advertising in SelfGrowth.com. It costs about $2.5K to mail to their list.

I submit articles regularly to ezinearticles.com (actually, not so regularly nowadays as I get lazy at times).

I ran Google Adwords and bid on author’s name to build a mailing list.

And many other stuff that I do online.

The secret to a successful internet business is easy – build a huge list in a profitable niche market.

If you’re wondering why I am not afraid of sharing my real internet business model with you, it is because no newbies can clone my business — it’s already too ‘big’. And successful marketers won’t try doing that as well because it’ll be too much work for them to do!

It’ll make more sense for them to spend their time to build their current OWN businesses.

Affiliate Programs Windfall Secret

I want to explain you can create affiliate marketing windfall so it’ll help you plan how you’re going to attack your own affiliate marketing.

Target Major Product Launches

One affiliate marketing route is to get in on the major product launches. These normally convert very high (because it’s new) and pay very high (because the merchant goes ‘all out’ to launch it). Also, you get less refunds than with ClickBank for instance.

I believe you’re better off selling digital info products from ClickBank.com. They’re bigger and far more trusted. I’m sure you’ve already heard of them or used them before.

The merchants pay up to 75% commissions.

Instant Commission Affiliate Programs

You might also enjoy promoting products that pay directly to your PayPal account upon purchase. These are sometimes known as Instant Commission Affiliate Programs.

7 Dollar Offers has a lot of $7 offers to choose from using the $7 Secrets script. You simply put your PayPal e-mail address on the end of your affiliate link and get paid directly into your account, usually 100% commissions. The reason these programs exist is normally two-fold: the internet marketer is making higher sales from the one-time-offer upsell and he’s also growing a list of buyers at the same time.
